The Cannabis Farmers Council is hosting a panel discussion on The Management of Russet Mites and Other Pests on May 18, 2017 in Spokane, WA. This presentation will have an emphasis on Broad & Russet mite control. These pests have emerged as two of the most problematic pests for cannabis farmers with bad outbreaks occurring around the state. We are excited to be part of the first of many educational workshops presented by the Washington Sungrowers Industry Association, bringing valuable information directly to Washington’s producers and processors through workshops led by industry experts.
This first workshop is Russets, Broads and Bioscience: The Biology of the Battle, sponsored by Sound Horticulture and Phylos Bioscience. The workshop will focus on strategies for correctly identifying and controlling Russet and Broad Mites and how genetic testing can help be more efficient and identify pest resistance. Russet mites pose the biggest threat to crops and not much is known about how to control this invader. Come and learn from the professionals on the front lines.
